    Leftfield are looking for a new PHP developer to join the team

    We require an experienced PHP Web Developer to join tour growing team.

    You should have at least 4 years commercial PHP experience, knowledge of Object Oriented development and cross browser experience (OO-PHP5, along with (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL). Familiarity with design patterns (e.g. Zend) is also essential, and it would be beneficial to have experience in using Prototype, Smarty Templating and SVN version control. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team is essential.

    You must come from a development background with experience of working in development teams, preferably in a Scrum/Agile environment. You will have a strong desire to develop outstanding applications and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be working within a tight-knit team of fellow programmers and GUI designers. A strong level of development experience with an eCommerce system is highly desireable, preferably Magento, and good educational background is preferred but not essential. Any exposure to CMS systems such as Drupal would also be advantageous.

    Knowledge of the full development lifecycle will be beneficial for this role as there may be involvement in, and ownership of technical project specification. Further to this, experience of developing on top of a large existing code-base and integration of branched development will be useful.

    You will be working within a PHP development team on a variety of eCommerce and dynamic CMS projects (reporting to the Development Manager) creating highly interactive web pages and components.

    This position is for an experienced PHP developer to join a vibrant, focused and technically-minded team which is responsible for developing and maintaining a great portfolio of clients.

    We’re looking for a Project Manager to deliver technical projects

    Leftfield Digital is seeking a Online Application Project Manager to join a growing and successful team. Delivering ecommerce, cms and multimedia solutions to some of the worlds leading brands you will have a history of successful client and project management.

    Typical projects will include:

    * CMS deployment
    * ecommerce deployment
    * Multimedia application development

    This post will be managing client projects across the agency and as such you need to work effectively as part of a supporting, cross-discipline team structure, delivering a high quality of output.

    You will be able to demonstrate your ability to handle effectively the challenges of meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Familiar with Agile development techniques, you will be expected to lead project delivery and assert control over the process. Working with the development manager, client services  team and creative director, you will have excellent communicaiton skills, be highly organised and have a talent for anticipating both potential project issues and opportunities to improve our delivery.

    Attention to detail in terms of planning and documentation are vital to delivering a quality project experience as well building a good rapport with colleages and clients.  You will need to demopnstrate a total understanding of the development process and a clear ability to manage a project so as to stay on brief, on budget and on target for delivery.
    Candidate Requirements

    Required:

    * Degree Educated or suitable Digital Agency experience
    * 3 years+ agency experience
    * Client facing experience
    * Strong understanding of and ability to drive the project lifecycle
    * Strong experience with ecommerce project delivery
    * Strong experience with CMS project delivery
    * Experience with Agile delivery techniques
    * Capability to analyse and understand technical issues and communicate them effectively to clients
    * Capable to work with minimum of supervision
    * Understanding of the business drivers within the Digital sector

    Desired but not essential

    * Advantage to be familiar with SEM, SEO, PPC, Digital Marketing, Ad-serving and the Affiliate systems
    * Experience with or a good understanding of digital marketing and new media centered projects

    Package: competative salary, based on experience. Performance related group bonus scheme, healthcare and gym membership contributions

    The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities.

    Our task was to deliver a highly finished and complex user experience to promote the launch of the Forbidden City residential real estate development in Dubai. As part of a broad integrated marketing campaign in conjunction with sister agency Truly London, the website is a key component in a wider strategy that encompasses TV, press, poster, DM, online display and CRM; the latter being driven from the website itself.

Some of the creative team from Leftfield had the pleasure of attending the shoot (it’s a hard life for some) and the results speak for themselves. For those that are interested, we’ve got a selection of shots….Beats building websites for online wooden furniture stores……
